DIA MUNDIAL DO SERVIÇO SOCIAL NOS AÇORES

A Federação Internacional dos Assistentes Sociais, neste Dia Mundial do Serviço Social, apresenta como tema de discussão “A Resposta dos Assistentes Sociais à Crise Mundial: Juntos Construímos a Agenda!”

A Delegação dos Açores da Associação dos Profissionais de Serviço Social, saúda neste dia todas e todos as/os Assistentes Sociais que na Região Autónoma dos Açores dão o seu contributo na resposta aos problemas sociais em cooperação com outros profissionais na promoção do bem-estar social dos indivíduos, grupos e comunidades, sobretudo os mais vulneráveis da sociedade, facilitando a coesão social em tempos de crise como os que se vivem actualmente.

A Associação dos Profissionais de Serviço Social visa, entre outros objectivos, fortalecer e unificar ética e deontologicamente a profissão; promover o aperfeiçoamento profissional dos seus sócios; contribuir para a articulação do ensino de Serviço Social com a realidade em que os profissionais actuam; propor medidas de política social e criar projectos de intervenção social adequados ao actual estado da Região. Dai, o processo em curso na Assembleia da República, para a criação da Ordem dos Assistentes Sociais.

Nesta celebração, queremos endereçar o nosso apoio e estímulo aos estudantes da licenciatura em Serviço Social, particularmente, os da Universidade dos Açores.

Estamos crentes que a defesa e a promoção dos direitos e responsabilidades humanos são o referencial da Profissão e da humanização da Sociedade.

WORLD SOCIAL WORK DAY ‏ 2011

Dear Colleagues,

Tuesday the 15th of March 2011 celebrates social workers across Europe and in all other parts of the globe the World Social Work Day 2011. “Social Work voices responding to global crises: Together we develop the Agenda!“ is the common theme for this year’s celebration.

IFSW Europe does specifically focus on The Social Consequences of The Financial Crisis through a project. The European national associations for social workers are within that project informing each other about the social consequences of the financial crisis in each country, based on which IFSW Europe aims at articulating European social workers’ joint demands to the politicians and the public on interventions that is able to reduce these consequences. The happy news is that we celebrate with one more person – Anthea Aguis, executive committee member has given birth to a beautiful baby girl Nina. So we send the congratulations of IFSW Europe to Anthea and Giuseppe.

I pledge that the debates and exchanges on the World Social Work Day can be brought forward to the European Conference in Brussels, 10 - 13 April 2011, organized by IFSW Europe and five other organizations within ENSACT. Here 700 European colleagues within the field of social work will meet to discuss “Social Action in Europe: Sustainable Social Development and Economic Challenges”. Globally the Social Work profession helps nations respond to economic and social changes that disproportionately affect vulnerable people and communities. Working in partnership with many other professions, Social Work promotes the social wellbeing of individuals, groups and communities, facilitates social cohesion and crises intervention in periods of change and national disasters, e.g. during the changes in Eastern Europe, the financial crisis in Ireland, the protests and conflicts in the Middle East or the latest disasters in Japan and New Zealand. Social workers are there to support all citizens, to fight for the rights of all human beings and to avoid human exclusion and poverty, knowing that those suffering the most under the current crisis are the poorest people in every country.

Let us together celebrate the many achievements of the social work profession on all continents, and also together make the Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development a reality.

Dia Mundial do Serviço Social - Mensagem de Laura Acotto, Presidente da FIAS para a Região da America Latina y Caribe

Hoy se desarrolla en todo el mundo del dia mundial del Trabajo Social, el objetivo de la FITS, Federacion Internacional de Trabajo Social, eligiendo un dia cada año, es dar un impulso a nuestra profesión y aunar esfuerzos para construir cada dia un mejor futuro para nosotros y aquellos a los que destinamos nuestro trabajo.

Hacer efectivos los derechos humanos, especialmente los derechos sociales, economicos y culturales, avazallados en las últimas décadas con la instauracion del modelo societal neoliberal, es un desafio constante para los trabajadores sociales de nuestra región, en terminos proteccion, restitucion y exigibilidad de los mismos.

Dia Mundial do Serviço Social‏ - APSS Delegação Regional da Madeira

A Delegação Regional da APSS - Madeira convida todos os(as) Colegas a comemorar o Dia Mundial do Serviço Social num evento a ser realizado no próximo dia 15 de Março. Associando-se à comemoração mundial, a Delegação Regional irá realizar uma conferência sobre o tema "A Razão e o Coração no Serviço Social: Tensões e Desafios Para a Prática Contemporânea", no Auditório do Centro de Segurança Social da Madeira, pelas 17 horas, sendo nossa convidada a Professora Doutora Inês Amaro, conforme programa.

De referir que pretendemos, com a realização deste evento, celebrar a profissão de Serviço Social, reforçar e dar maior visibilidade à profissão, criando um espaço de diálogo e interacção, no sentido de potenciar a cultura profissional do Assistente Social.
